We assess the patient's symptoms, medical history, and clinical condition to determine the appropriate diagnostic and treatment plan. Depending on the suspected infection, investigations may include chest X-rays, sputum examination, molecular tests for tuberculosis, and other relevant investigations. Treatment is selected according to the diagnosis and may include prescribed antibiotics for bacterial pneumonia or a complete course of appropriate anti-tuberculosis medicines for confirmed TB.
